Education especially medical field at any level whether graduate or master's is a highly dynamic ecosystem incorporating complex academic-scientific inputs since it entails teaching of new skill sets and novel clinical experiences one comes across throughout the everyday life routine of a health professional. Within this academic learning there are twin processes.

The first one is based on a straitjacketed, well structured, instructional mode by the teacher for the student to acquire knowledge about the fundamental principles which will be of help during daily practice as a general practitioner or specialist. This comes through established learning strategies of practical- theoretical interrelationship: basically the laid down curriculum and finally its evaluation of the process through the examination system.

The second process channelizes bringing this acquired knowledge to practice, based on evidence. It is here the scientific societies like ours play a pivotal role. Students update their understanding of past, current and futuristic therapeutic or surgical modalities through conferences, conventions, symposias, workshops and official publications for the benefit of general public at large, through the dissemination of research done under the umbrella of these professional societies.

It also allows a friendly network in different nations across the globe to exchange research in order to improve patient care. It is in turn for the societies to take note that everything that is delivered from their official platform remains 'Gold Standard' in terms of its evidence quotient.

It needs to be emphasized in no uncertain terms that such exchange of knowledge under the banner of professional societies empowers the continuous, comprehensive training of the student.

It is therefore imperative to recommend strategies that stimulate and exchange the necessary time and methodology for evidence based research. By promoting such indicators the rankings, reputation, recognition and role of the society will also increase. We at the ISP are constantly evolving and taking requisite initiatives to create academic- scientific partnerships involving all types of members under our fold.

In conclusion societies that collaborate and reinforce without –a- break investigative learning play a great role in making a well-educated, well trained and clinically superior health care professional. Let us take this task not as an obligation but a matter of personal motivation.

ISPlendidly Yours
